Travel Story by Helga McGilp

  The Sweet Tooth Cake Shop
Dali, China

Deaf Staff

A Deaf-run business in the heart of Dali owned by Gao Lin qin and Choi.M.E (3 deaf staff and 1 interpreter)

Gao learnt to make cakes in the United States and brought recipes back home. The dessert shop is the only one of its kind in Dali. This shop also provides job training and employment for the Deaf community in Dali.

The ASL for "I love you" is the same sign in China and hence the logo.
