Avril reports on the 100th celebration of the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Hungary.

The Hungarian Government have ratified the UN Convention but sign language is not yet recognised so members of the Hungarian Deaf community have formed a human chain by holding hands by the river and behind the Parliament.

SINOSZ felt raising their profile is key to encouraging the Government to recognise sign language. They felt they should participate by visual means, which may help their campaign.

Members wearing the blue ponchos and white gloves were crucial to maximise publicity but several members looked at Deaftravel's camera.....
