Fancy staying at a five-cone trulli in Puglia, the heel of Italy? It is relatively unknown to tourists, hence its solitude and near empty beaches during the week! It is undergoing renovation and will be open for visitors to stay at very reasonable prices, much lower than elsewhere! You can stay on a flexible basis for a few days or weeks, midweek or weekends. A trulli is a stone building that has conical roofs over the rooms giving it an 'hobbit' feel. Ours has all mods and cons and outside is a three acre olive grove of over 100 trees, very safe for children to play in and explore with supervision. The nearby town, Ceglie Messapica, of 20,000 people is famed for arts and gastronomy, with art and music events through the summer months. The Adriatic sea is 30 minutes away and the Ionian sea is one hour away, both great for snorkelling and diving. We have yet to find out more about the local Deaf community and clubs but hopefully these will be on our website when it is launched in October.
